Please note that as from 28 May 2011, according to the Italian Law on Consular Services, this Consulate General can provide notary services to Italian citizens ONLY.
In compliance with Italian legislation, the Consular Office offers notary functions exclusively to Italian citizens who are temporarily or permanently overseas.
The public deeds which are generally required are:
· Special and General Powers of Attorney;
· Family Property Regime (Matrimonial community / Division of assets);
· Authentication Services (e.g.: authentication of signature);
· Authorisation letters to Third Parties;
The documents are written exclusively in Italian and therefore knowledge of the language is essential.
Applicants must request an appointment by writing an email to email@example.com and must appear in person at the Office with a valid document of identity. For marital deeds of separation of assets and deeds related to donations, the interested party/parties must provide for the presence of two witnesses, without whom the notarial deed cannot be accepted.
