Opportunities for Italian students interested in higher education program in Hong Kong

We would like to inform Italian students who are interested in higher education programs in Hong Kong that the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is now inviting undergraduate applications from international students for the 2023 entry. For more details, the digital brochure is available at the following link: Undergraduate Admissions 2023 Entry (International Students); Please note that the deadline of Regular Round Application for Admission is 5 January 2023.

In addition, the Chinese University of Hong Kong offers various scholarships opportunities for international students, such as:

University Admission Scholarships

Outstanding international students may be offered admission scholarships on the basis of their distinguished academic or non-academic performance. The scholarship includes tuition fee grant and living allowance. International students are also guaranteed three-year on-campus accommodation and provided with exchange and internship opportunities.

HKSAR Government Scholarship

The amount of the HKSAR Government Scholarship is HK$80,000 per year for non-local students.

The Belt and Road Scholarship

The Scholarship has been expanded in the 2019/20 academic year and it now covers all Belt and Road countries (including Italy). It will cover the tuition fees of the awardees.

CUHK Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for Excellence

Each year, 8 non-renewable awards of HK$50,000 each will be given out to the distinguished new students admitted to any full-time undergraduate programmes.

Exchange Scholarships Awarded on Admission

Exceptionally outstanding new students may be awarded a University Exchange Scholarship, ranging from HK$10,000 to HK$80,000, in addition to the Admission Scholarship.

Scholarships Based on Non-Academic Areas

One-off scholarships ranging from HK$50,000 to HK$145,000 each may also be awarded to non-local students who excel in non-academic areas such as sports, music, art, science and technology.

Priority will be given to candidates who apply before the deadline of Regular Round Application for Admission – 5 January 2023.
