ITALIA on Stage is an annual autumn festival that celebrates Italian culture, language, art, business and lifestyle in Hong Kong.
The 2025 edition was extended to run from September through December, offering a rich and diverse programme that provided local audiences with a unique opportunity to engage with a wide range of content centred on Italy and its relationship with Hong Kong.
More than 50 initiatives took place throughout the festival, organised into seven categories: Exhibitions, Language and Literature, Performances and Entertainment, Cinema, Business, Gastronomy, and Charity. The programme also featured partnerships with the Hong Kong Design Centre and Business of Design Week 2025.
This diverse array of events aimed to strengthen ties between Italy and Hong Kong, foster exchange, promote mutual understanding, and support the development of new synergies. The festival served as a dynamic cultural platform where both communities could come together to share ideas and experiences.
The 2025 edition held particular significance, as it marked the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and the People’s Republic of China.
ITALIA on Stage was jointly presented by the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong and the Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong, with the support of the Italian Trade Commission in Hong Kong, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao, Italian organisations based in Hong Kong, as well as partners from the city’s public and private sectors.
