This is to inform Italian nationals residing in Hong Kong and Macao that the National Social Security Institute (INPS) has announced the timetable for the life existence verification of pensioners residing abroad for the years 2024 and 2025.
The first phase, which will take place from March to July 2024, will concern pensioners residing in America, Asia, the Far East, Scandinavian countries, and Eastern European states.
Citibank N.A. will mail the life existence forms starting 20 March 2024, and pensioners will have to return the form of attestation for life existence via mail by 18 July 2024. If the verification process is not completed by the deadline, the pension instalment of August 2024 would be made in cash at Western Union Agencies in the country of residence, and if the attestation for life existence is not received or returned by 19 August 2024, the pension payment will be suspended from the next instalment in September 2024.
In order to avoid delivery failure of forms by Citibank N.A., all those concerned are requested to update their residential address in advance if there are any changes to their personal details.
Pensioners who would like to authenticate their signatures on the proof of life certification can go to the counters of this Consulate General during public opening hours with their passports.
