Scholarships for Non-EU citizens for Two Master’s Degree Programs at the School of International Studies of the University of Trento

The University of Trento has published admission notices for the 2025-2026 academic year for two Master’s Degree programs provided by the School of International Studies.

The first is the Master’s in International Security Studies (MISS), jointly offered with the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, and the second is the Master’s in European and International Studies (MEIS). All educational activities are conducted in English.

The admission calls include a reserved quota for non-EU citizens, defined as candidates who have:

  • citizenship of non-EU countries and are not residing in Italy;
  • citizenship of non-EU countries with a study permit in Italy and without residence in Italy;
  • citizenship of countries non-EU countries with temporary protection permit, without residence in Italy, and who have not obtained a diploma of secondary education in Italy.

Non-EU candidates ranking in the top positions may be awarded scholarships partially covering living expenses in Italy, totaling 7,200 euros per year. There is 1 (one) scholarship available for the MISS program and 3 (three) for the MEIS program. In addition to scholarships, a larger number of students may obtain exemption from university fees based on their admission ranking score. Finally, there is an additional funding opportunity for studies dedicated to descendants of Trentino emigrants.

For non-EU citizens, the application deadline is set for March 6, 2025.
