The 28th edition of the FILMART Fair opened today in Hong Kong, which will until 14 March, bringing together exhibitors from the cinema and audiovisual sector. Italy is taking part along with 27 other countries, with a national pavilion organised by Italian Trade Commission (ICE) to which 9 production and distribution companies have joined (Antropica, Disparte, Gruppo Alcuni, Insight, Intramovies Srl, L&C, Minerva Pictures Group, Rai Cinema Spa and TV Co. Srl). More than 7000 visitors are expected and the event will include the screening of Italian films “The Net”, directed by Domenico Emanuele de Feudis and “Posso Entrare (An Ode to Naples)”, directed by Trudie Styler and distributed by RAI Cinema Spa. The aim of this initiative is to promote Italian audiovisual products in foreign markets, in particular Asian markets, with reference to all distribution channels: cinema, television, streaming. Moreover, the institutional presence of Cinecittà and the Ministry of Culture (Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual) testifies the interest in promoting Italy, also as a destination for filming, to Asian producers.
