CONTEMPORARY DAY IN HONG KONG: INAUGURATED THE EXHIBTION “HUMAN SILK”

On the occasion of the Contemporary Day, the exhibition ‘Human Silk’ of three Italian artists, Thomas Braida, Paola Angelini and Nebojša Despotović, opened at Kwai Fung Salone in the Tai Kwun complex with the support of the Consulate General and the Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong. The curators of the Exhibition, Aurora Fonda and Sandro Pignotti, held a seminar on the evolution of Venetian art from the Renaissance to the Biennial at JC Cube auditorium in Tai Kwun on the sidelines of the Exhibition, followed by a presentation by Consul General Carmelo Ficarra focusing on the Government’s initiatives in support of artists and on the main fairs dedicated to contemporary art in Italy (including Turin, Milan, Bologna, Verona and Rome). The event also inaugurated the ‘ITALIA on Stage’ Festvial, presented by the Consulate General, which offers a rich programme of initiatives to promote Italy in Hong Kong until mid-December.

On the same day, the exhibition ‘Radical Legacies’ was inaugurated, promoted by Novalis Art Design, displaying the original Gufram pieces for the first time in Hong Kong.
