Based on an agreement with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Trenitalia is offering discounts to Italian citizens registered with A.I.R.E travelling in Italy on the purchase of Trenitalia-Frecciarossa train tickets. The following offers are valid until 31 December 2024:
- Discounts ranging from 20% to 80% with the Speciale Eventi offer, in 1st and 2nd class, in Business, Premium and Standard services on Frecciarossa, Frecciargento and Frecciabianca trains, according to conditions and subject to availability; Tickets can be purchased on Trenitalia.com, on the Trenitalia App, at the ticket offices and authorised travel agencies and distributors abroad. To obtain the discounts, passengers must provide their AIRE registration code when purchasing the tickets (online, by entering a code, or through Trenitalia offices);
- 40% discount on the purchase of Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca tickets for groups of at least 10 paying passengers travelling together. Tickets can be purchased through Frecciarossa Group Offices;
- Possibility to purchase a “Trenitalia Pass”. The Pass is a multi-ride ticket valid for journeys within the Italian territory. It can be purchased on Trenitalia.com, at the ticket offices, travel agencies or authorised foreign and Italian tour operators.
Passengers will be required to show on board the train an AIRE registration certificate obtained from the Municipality of residence or through a digital identity account SPID or CIE via the link Certificates – NATIONAL REGISTER, as well as a valid identification document, in addition to their tickets.
