The Hong Kong International Diamond, Pearl & Gem Show and the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show saw strong participation from Italian companies, showcased in two national pavilions organised by ICE Hong Kong at AsiaWorld-Expo and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Both events are organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), a partner of ICE, in collaboration with leading local and Chinese industry associations.
The two exhibitions remain key reference events for the sector and the most important in the region: the former dedicated to semi-finished products and the latter to finished jewellery. This year, more than 4,000 exhibitors from 40 countries took part, creating the world’s largest jewellery marketplace.
Italy was represented by more than 140 companies, highlighting the creativity and expertise of the country’s leading jewellery districts and the excellence of Made in Italy production. Participants included companies from Arezzo, Vicenza and Valenza, as well as from the districts of Torre del Greco and Marcianise, which—according to Federorafi data for 2025—have recorded particularly strong performance in the Hong Kong market.
As part of the broader effort to promote Italian excellence and strengthen international trade relations, the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show was selected as one of the strategic initiatives of OpportunItaly, the business acceleration programme promoted by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), aimed at connecting international buyers, distributors and entrepreneurs with the expertise of Made in Italy.
During the event, the Italian Ambassador to China, Massimo Ambrosetti, met with the exhibiting companies, thanking them for their continued commitment to the Hong Kong and mainland China markets and reaffirming public support for further expanding Italy’s presence and promoting the country’s manufacturing excellence, craftsmanship and creativity represented by globally recognised brands.
With the support of ICE, a dedicated promotional event titled “ICONICA”, curated by the agency The Futurist, was also held, providing an additional showcase for Italian brands and attracting more than 300 guests, including industry professionals, media representatives, influencers and buyers.
