Temporary Suspension of Poultry Imports from Modena, Parma and Novara

Progetto senza titolo(7)

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department in Hong Kong and the Centre for Food Safety have announced a temporary suspension on the import of poultry (including carcasses, cuts and offal) and poultry products (including eggs) intended for human consumption from provinces of Modena, Parma and Novara in Italy. The decision has been taken as a precaution following confirmed cases of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI H5N1) in these areas.

The Italian Ministry of Health is in close contact with the relevant local authorities to provide all necessary documentation and support. Further updates will be communicated once available.
