On 27 October, “Italian Flavour – A Concert by Duo Gazzana”, organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong, took place at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre. The Duo Gazzana, formed by sisters Natascia (violin) and Raffaella Gazzana (piano), performed for an audience of over 300 guests, including representatives of the local cultural scene, classical music enthusiasts, and members of the Italian community.

The artists presented a programme entitled “Italian Flavour”, which was devoted mainly to distinguished Italian composers from different eras, such as Benedetto Marcello, Giuseppe Tartini, and Nino Rota. The repertoire also featured works by renowned European composers, including Bartók and Grieg, who drew inspiration from the study and rediscovery of folk traditions.

The guiding theme of the recital was “Vitality”, a hallmark of the Italian musical tradition. The concert received wide acclaim and stood out as one of the most significant events in the Consulate General’s cultural programme for the latter part of the year.

Following their performance in Hong Kong, Duo Gazzana continued their tour with a concert in Guangzhou, organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Canton.
