The La Scala Academy (Accademia Teatro alla Scala) is one of the world’s most prestigious institutions for comprehensive professional training in all artistic, technical, and managerial areas of the performing arts. Organized in four departments – Music, Dance, Stagecraft, Management – the Academy offers some thirty different courses attended each year by over 1,700 students.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation offers an amount of scholarships to international students attending the Global Master “Performing Arts Management” (GMPAM), aimed at training highly qualified professionals with managerial and economic expertise, specifically tailored to the performing arts sector. Only students who have been already selected to attend the course can apply for the Ministry’s scholarships programme.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, up to a maximum of seven (7) six-month scholarships are available (covering the period from 1 January 2026 to 30 June 2026), as indicated in the official call for applications published by the Academy. The monthly scholarship amount is €1,000.00. GMPAM scholarship recipients shall be responsible for getting a private health insurance covering illness and accidents.
The application for the 2025/2026 academic year is now open. The applications’ deadline is 1st October 2025 for citizens of EU member countries, and it is 17th September 2025 for citizens of non-EU countries. Please see below for more information:
