The Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong and the International Department of Cinecittà/DGCA are presenting the 3rd edition in Hong Kong of ITALIAN SCREENS – New Italian Cinema Goes Abroad, in collaboration with Broadway Cinematheque.
From 15 September to 5 October, a selection of the best of Italian contemporary film production will be premiered in Hong Kong, showing Italy’s vibrant creativity. The festival opens with Madly (Follemente), featuring a special in-person participation by director Paolo Genovese.
ITALIAN SCREENS – conceived by Roberto Stabile – Head of International Department atCinecittà/DGCA – is an initiative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Italian Ministry of Culture, aimed at promoting tax incentives for distribution, co-productions and for those filming in Italy, showing the best of contemporary Italian cinema.
This film festival is part of the programme of ITALIA on Stage 2025, presented by the Consulate General and the Italian Cultural Institute, celebrating Italian culture, arts, business, and lifestyle in Hong Kong.
