The ‘Hong Kong International Diamond Pearl & Gem Show’ and ‘Hong Kong International Jewellery Show’, dedicated to gems and precious stones and finished products respectively, opened on 2 and 4 March with a total Italian participation of over 140 companies in two national pavilions supported and organised by ICE at the two event venues, the Asia International Expo and the Convention Centre. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), in collaboration with the major trade associations, the two initiatives are the landmark events of the sector in Asia, with wide appeal on a global scale. After several years of absence, this year the Italian pavilion returns to the Diamond Pearl & Gem Show, a prestigious fair for the major districts in the sector, representing national excellence in a field of primary importance for the country’s exports. The most renowned jewellery districts, Arezzo, Vicenza, Valenza, together with the two districts of Torre del Greco and Marcianise, reaffirmed the primates of Made in Italy in the field of design, creativity and craftsmanship, gaining the appreciation of the international public that visited the stands. In 2024, Hong Kong was the seventh destination for Italian jewellery exports, once again ranking as the most important market in the world.
