The 40th edition of the “Hong Kong International Jewellery Show” was inaugurated in Hong Kong, a reference event for the sector, together with the one dedicated to diamonds and precious stones that takes place on the same days. It is the most important trade fair dedicated to jewellery in Asia, which this year counts the presence of over 4,000 exhibitors from 44 countries. Italy participates in the event with the largest European Country Pavilion. In an area of more than 1,000 square metres, the Italian collective curated by ICE – the Italian Trade Commission – brings together 115 companies that, together with the other independent exhibitors, contributes to the national presence of more than 140 companies mainly from the traditional production districts, namely Arezzo, Vicenza, Valenza, Torre del Greco and Marcianise, with a number of companies from Sardinia have joined for the first time.
“Italy is present at the Hong Kong jewellery fair as a protagonist with a conspicuous and qualified representation of the best Made in Italy jewellery production. Hong Kong confirms itself as a market of great interest for the Italian jewellery sector, being one of the main destination platforms for exports in the sector. Small and medium sized Italian companies can take advantage of the distribution networks and reception capacities of the local market in Hong Kong to reach other markets in the area, as well as seize the opportunity to establish contacts with international interlocutors,” said the Ambassador of Italy to the People’s Republic of China, Massimo Ambrosetti, who was present at the Fair.
