UPDATE: ENTERING/ RETURING TO ITALY FROM NON-EU COUNTRIES
(update 17 June 2022)
As of June 1, 2022 a Green Pass or equivalent certificate is no longer needed to enter Italy. All Covid-19 related entry restrictions have been lifted.
Until 30 September 2022, it is mandatory to wear FFP2 type respiratory protective devices on public transportation (trains, ships, ferries, buses), except airplanes, as well as in health and social welfare facilities.
It is however recommended to wear respiratory protection devices in all public indoor places.
The following are exempt from the requirement of wearing respiratory protection devices: a) children under six years of age; b) people with pathologies or disabilities that are incompatible with the use of the masks, as well as people who have to communicate with a disabled person in such a way that they cannot use a mask.
**ATTENTION: Currently there are no direct flights from Hong Kong to Italy**.
It is necessary for the passenger to check the conditions and requirements imposed by the authorities of the transit countries (type of Covid-19 test, vaccination, language required for certification, quarantine/self-isolation conditions, etc.), in addition to those required by the Italian authorities.
