The initiative is promoted by the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and in collaboration with the Hong Kong Design Centre. Conceived by CMS Cultura and curated by Giulia Fortunato, with exhibition designed by architect Corrado Anselmi, <em data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"816\">FABRICa<\/em> will be open to the public from 25 October to 26 November 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"1498\">As part of the official programme of the <strong data-start=\"925\" data-end=\"964\">Business of Design Week (BoDW) 2025<\/strong> \u2014 Hong Kong\u2019s premier event dedicated to design, which this year places a special focus on Italy \u2014 the exhibition traces the evolution of Italian textiles through six immersive sections. From the historic wool and silk manufactories to the latest innovations in technical and sustainable fabrics, <em data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1271\">FABRICa<\/em> celebrates the creativity, research, and innovation that have long defined <em data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1362\">Made in Italy<\/em>. Installations, textiles, and recycled materials offer visitors a multisensory journey connecting tradition with contemporary vision.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1500\" data-end=\"1723\">\u201cThis exhibition intertwines history, territory, and innovation, illustrating how the textile industry continues to shape Italian identity and creativity,\u201d stated <strong data-start=\"1663\" data-end=\"1682\">Carmelo Ficarra<\/strong>, Consul General of Italy in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1725\" data-end=\"1972\">Running in parallel, the local exhibition <em data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"1816\">Engineered Reverie: Hong Kong\u2019s Textile Futures<\/em>, curated by <strong data-start=\"1829\" data-end=\"1851\">Elaine Yan Ling Ng<\/strong> of The Fabrick Lab, explores the future of Hong Kong\u2019s textile craftsmanship in dialogue with the Italian perspective.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1974\" data-end=\"2174\">With <em data-start=\"1979\" data-end=\"1988\">FABRICa<\/em>, Italy reaffirms its leading role at <strong data-start=\"2026\" data-end=\"2039\">BoDW 2025<\/strong>, further strengthening its creative partnership with Hong Kong and highlighting Italian leadership in design and textile innovation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2176\" data-end=\"2710\">The inauguration of the exhibition concludes three consecutive days dedicated to Italian design in Hong Kong, which featured thematic seminars and workshops. On 22 October, representatives from <strong data-start=\"2358\" data-end=\"2373\">POLI.design<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"2379\" data-end=\"2409\">Istituto Europeo di Design<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2415\" data-end=\"2432\">Domus Academy<\/strong> discussed the intersection between design and artificial intelligence.
