The event brought together <strong data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1097\">200 swimmers<\/strong>, both amateur and professional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1131\" data-end=\"1508\">In a statement to the press, reported by the <em data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1202\">South China Morning Post<\/em>, <strong data-start=\"1204\" data-end=\"1238\">Consul General Carmelo Ficarra<\/strong> emphasized the importance placed on <strong data-start=\"1275\" data-end=\"1295\">sports diplomacy<\/strong> and the promotion of the values of <strong data-start=\"1331\" data-end=\"1359\">friendship and fair play<\/strong> that arise from competition.
