The opening night played to a full house with the highly anticipated screening of <em data-start=\"307\" data-end=\"319\">FolleMente<\/em>, directed by <strong data-start=\"333\" data-end=\"351\">Paolo Genovese<\/strong>, who was present in the theater for a lively and well-received discussion with the audience following the film.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"465\" data-end=\"771\">\u201cI\u2019m delighted to be back in Hong Kong after many years with this film and to have received such an extraordinary welcome,\u201d said the director. \u201cThe first screening in a theater with a new audience is always an emotional moment, especially for comedies. It\u2019s when you truly understand whether a film works.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"1002\">The event was organized by the <strong data-start=\"804\" data-end=\"847\">Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"896\">Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"906\" data-end=\"952\">International Department of Cinecitt\u00e0\/DGCA<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong data-start=\"976\" data-end=\"1001\">Broadway Cinematheque<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1004\" data-end=\"1727\"><strong data-start=\"1004\" data-end=\"1023\">Carmelo Ficarra<\/strong>, Consul General of Italy in Hong Kong, emphasized the broader cultural significance of the initiative: \u201cWe are pleased to present the third edition of <em data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1557\"><strong>Italian Screens<\/strong><\/em>. This event is part of the Autumn Festival <em><strong>ITALIA on Stage<\/strong><\/em>, organized by the Consulate General and the Italian Cultural Institute in partnership with all Italian institutions and associations in the city. The festival is designed to celebrate the very best of Italian culture, art, and lifestyle in Hong Kong. We are especially proud to present <em data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1557\"><strong>Italian Screens<\/strong><\/em> in Hong Kong for the third consecutive year, given the city\u2019s strong cinematic tradition and the tremendous potential for creative synergy and collaboration with Italy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"2305\"><strong data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"1748\">Roberto Stabile<\/strong>, creator of the <em data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1557\"><strong>Italian Screens<\/strong><\/em> project, commented: \u201cWe continue to actively support the international distribution of <em data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"1884\">FolleMente<\/em> on this leg of its journey through China. Following the special screening at the Shanghai International Film Festival, which served as a preview before its release, we are now here in Hong Kong and hope the local audience will embrace both the film and the entire showcase with equal enthusiasm.
