He is the designer of the world\u2019s best-selling lamp, the Tolomeo from Artemide, which received the Compasso d\u2019Oro award in 1987, the oldest industrial design recognition in the world and the most prestigious Italian design award. De Lucchi has designed furniture for the most renowned Italian and European companies and has realized architectural projects all over the world, comprising cultural, business, industrial and residential buildings. As an architect and designer, De Lucchi has won numerous awards and acknowledgment. Diversities generate differences, differences define identities, identities can lead to inequalities, which create physical, social, and cultural distances. For Michele De Lucchi, only a dynamic balance can address human complexities.
