The fifth edition of the festival tells the story of the many faces of Italian film.<\/em><\/p>\n The fifth edition of Fare Cinema<\/strong><\/a> will be held from Monday 13 June<\/strong>. The festival was launched in 2018 and involves a series of events to promote the Italian film and film industry in the world<\/strong>, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation and the network of Italian Embassies, Consulates and Cultural Institutes, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, ANICA, Agenzia ICE, Cinecitt\u00e0, Italy for Movies, Italian Film Commissions, the Academy of Italian Cinema \u2013 David di Donatello Awards and La Biennale di Venezia.<\/p>\n In 2022, Fare Cinema again provides a variety of content free online until 19 June<\/strong> on the portal italiana<\/strong><\/a> and on the MyMovies<\/strong><\/a> platform.<\/p>\n Italian Renaissance<\/strong><\/a> is a series of conversations with film-makers representing the renewed focus on contemporary Italian film by international festivals and film critics. Produced with the Fondazione Cinema per Roma<\/strong>, the series is accompanied by the viewing of short films by each of the film-makers involved.<\/p>\n Thanks to the Accademia del Cinema Italiano<\/strong> and ANICA<\/strong>, Italian Screens<\/strong><\/a>, presents the five finalists in the \u2018Best Short Film\u2019 category for the David di Donatello Awards 2022 Awards.<\/p>\n On the centenary of the birth of Vittorio Gassman, a tribute<\/strong><\/a> is paid to this emblematic figure in Italian film, with a special interview with Alessandro Gassmann<\/strong> and the viewing of the documentary Sono Gassman!<\/strong> Vittorio re della commedia<\/strong> <\/em>(I\u2019m Gassman! Vittorio, king of comedy) by Fabrizio Corallo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Another important celebration this year is the anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini: for the occasion, the Cineteca di Bologna<\/strong> has created Pasolini 100<\/strong><\/a>, a series of original video-introductions to Pasolini\u2019s films, which may also accompany the screenings in the theatre.<\/p>\n In addition to the streaming mode, this year Fare Cinema systematically returns to screenings in front of physical audiences in various countries around the world<\/strong>, accompanied by meetings and interviews with film-makers, industry experts and operators. In particular, the festival partners up with Biennale College Cinema<\/strong><\/a>, which will take four films by emerging female directors abroad, winners of the call of the same name launched by La Biennale di Venezia.<\/p>\n Fare Cinema 2022: an edition presenting the different faces of Italian film, with a program that ranges from great film-makers of the past to the trends that have successfully emerged on the scene in recent years, as far the latest promises in contemporary production.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The fifth edition of the festival tells the story of the many faces of Italian film.
