{"id":426,"date":"2023-01-05T09:04:52","date_gmt":"2023-01-05T01:04:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conshongkong.esteri.it\/?page_id=426"},"modified":"2024-04-29T13:48:16","modified_gmt":"2024-04-29T05:48:16","slug":"minori","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conshongkong.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/minori\/","title":{"rendered":"Letter of consent to minors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For information <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/italiani-all-estero\/minori-estero\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">click here<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/italiani-all-estero\/minori-estero\/sottrazioneinternazionalediminori\/\">International Child Abduction<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Travel declaration for minors under the age of 14<\/strong><br \/>\nAs of 4 June 2014, new regulations came into force concerning the letter of consent, aimed at ensuring greater protection of the child, which is necessary when a child is entrusted by its parents to another person for the purpose of travelling.<br \/>\nThe letter of consent may only concern a single journey (considered as a round trip) from the child&#8217;s country of residence with a determined destination and dates and may not exceed, as a rule, a maximum period of six months.<br \/>\nThose exercising parental or guardianship responsibility may indicate up to a maximum of two accompanying persons, who shall, however, alternate between them. It is necessary to fill in the letter of consent form (<a href=\"https:\/\/conshongkong.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/modulistica\/\">Forms<\/a>) and submit it to the Consulate together with a copy of the flight tickets and copies of the passports of the accompanying person, the minor and the parents. If one of the parents is an EU citizen but he\/she is not able to come in-person, he\/she could send a copy of the passport instead, including the signature page, by email to <a href=\"mailto:consolare.hongkong@esteri.it\">consolare.hongkong@esteri.it<\/a>.
