Along the path towards the Italian Design Day 2023, Italian design and the Italian excellence of training and innovation in the creative industries are the main characters of DesignInspire, one of the main events in the sector in Hong Kong and in China.

Until July 31st students, researchers, companies and professional studios will be able to visit the Italian Design Pavilion (https://designinspire.hktdc.com/en/s/ItalianDesignPavilion), a virtual space supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong and Macao and made in collaboration with HIRE.

The initiative aims to promote the best of the Italian educational offer and the services offered by YesMilano to a large number of young Asian talents eager to immerse themselves in the Italian innovative ecosystem. Young Chinese and Asian designers and artists who trained in Italy in the disciplines of Fashion, Interior and Lifestyle Design will share their stories and experiences in dialogue and discussion with local students.

The next activity on the calendar will take place on January 17th and will concern a dialogue, always virtual, between protagonists on the most topical topics in the sector.

The project, which this year has the metaverse as its theme, will also allow the institutes gathered inside the Pavilion (Polidesign, Domus Academy, NABA – New Academy of Fine Arts, Iulm, Marangoni, IED Istituto Europeo di Design, Politecnico di Milano) to increase and strengthen its network of international collaborations.
