URGENT UPDATE – Restrictions for travelers coming to Hong Kong and Macao – update March 18th, 2020

HONG KONG

The Hong Kong Government has informed that – starting from 0.00 am on March 19 – quarantine orders for compulsory quarantine will be issued to people arriving in Hong Kong who have been to all overseas countries/territories in the past 14 days, regardless of whether they are Hong Kong residents.

The mandatory 14-day quarantine in the quarantine centers set up by the Government shall remain into force for all travelers, resident or non-resident in Hong Kong, who have been to the Italian Regions of Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia Romagna in the previous 14 days from their arrival in Hong Kong.

Italian nationals who will have to undergo the mandatory 14-day home quarantine are advised to strictly follow the provisions. Violations will be punishable as criminal offence.

 

 

 MACAO

 

The Macao Authorities informed that – starting from midnight of 18th March 2020 all travelers from overseas countries will be banned from entering Macao.

The measure does not cover Macao residents, Macao non-resident workers or residents of Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan.
